ART Foundations in Art

Foundations in Art is general art course introducing students to various areas of two and three-dimensional art. These include: drawing, painting, and collaging. Various media and techniques with cultural and historical connections will be used in each area. The “Elements of Art” and “Principles of Design” will be emphasized in every unit. In addition to providing a hands-on creative approach to the introduction of the arts, students will also be supporting other core subject areas, such as English, by completing readings, written reflections, and analysis/interpretation of artwork and art history movements. Students complete a website based portfolio to house evidence of their progress and learning.

Un curso de arte general que introduce a los estudiantes a varias áreas de arte bidimensional.

Estos incluyen dibujo, pintura, collage y fotografía. En cada área se utilizarán diversos medios y técnicas con conexiones culturales e históricas. En cada unidad se enfatizan los "Elementos del Arte" y "Principios de Diseño". Además de brindar un enfoque creativo práctico a la introducción de las artes, los estudiantes también estarán apoyando otras materias principales, como inglés, completando lecturas, reflexiones escritas y presentaciones sobre artistas y movimientos históricos del arte.
