ART Studio Art II: Novice
Novice, Studio Art II, builds on the student’s knowledge of art history, art criticism, and art skills and techniques, from the Foundations Art course, while introducing students to the concept of the art studio and the Studio Habits of Mind. Students will explore advanced techniques in the methods of drawing, painting, printmaking, pottery, sculpture and design while beginning to refine their art skills. In this course students will continue to develop a sketchbook and an electronic portfolio which they will use to plan, implement, and analyze their art projects. Students will work on developing their individual styles and begin to choose an area of art in which they wish to focus their attention. $5.00 materials fee
