Economics is a foundational business course. If you are considering a career in business or simply want to understand how the U.S. economy works, then this course is for you!! Students will explain what economics is and why it is important to understand economic concepts. Students will analyze the importance of scarcity. Other topics to student include: supply and demand, forms of business, labor unions, money and prices, business cycles, inflation, and government finances and the government's influence on the economy. The major economic systems will also be studied.
