ELA 09 Language Arts

During this year-long course, students participate in various units. Some units focus on particular skills, while others focus on genre and/or theme. Students will participate in units on public speaking, persuasion, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc. Throughout these units, students will practice reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking skills. Students will read a variety of genres, from poetry to Shakespearean drama. They will also write in myriad forms, from informative to imaginative.
