This course is a foundation course that is writing heavy and focuses on critical thinking skills with the following: Writing an argumentative essay while working on formal writing skills and long-term research; reading short stories and making theme connections within multiple texts; reading The Great Gatsby and studying character analysis and author’s choices; writing a short story and focusing on narrative and creative writing skills; reading Shakespeare and focusing on connotative words; reading I Am Nujood and studying Islamic culture.
