ELA Writing 101

In this course, students will develop their writing, critical reading, critical thinking, and information literacy skills by exploring a single topic in depth. Students are expected to participate actively in their own learning through class discussions and group activities. Students will write a minimum of 5,000 words during the course, 3,00O of which will have instructor feedback. These words will include both formal graded works and informal graded and non-graded writing. All formal writing will be related to the student's self-selected research topic.
