ELA Composition

This course develops students’ foundational and academic writing skills through a focus on the writing process. Students learn to generate ideas, craft clear thesis statements, organize paragraphs and essays, and revise for clarity and effectiveness. Instruction includes practice with narrative, informative, and argumentative writing as well as introductory research skills.
