ELA English 12

The English 12 course is designed to enhance students’ reading, writing, oral communication, and critical thinking skills through a variety of activities and group projects. This flexible class promotes free thinking and may tackle some thought-provoking issues. Special attention will be paid to advertising/media language and techniques (which may include film or commercial making), contemporary literature (both fiction and non-fiction), creative writing, community awareness through research and writing, and career pathways. In addition to the reading assigned in class, students may be required to independently read one novel of choice per quarter and present a book talk/project to the class.
