ELA English II

Course Description: In their study of short stories, drama, nonfiction, novels, and poetry, sophomores are involved in the four communications skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The course lends itself to some general grammar/usage review as the writing thrust moves from a review of the paragraph to theme writing. Various oral presentations are included in the literary units; library/research/media skills are applied.
