ELA Science Fiction

This course will offer a broad survey of various types of science fiction literature. Students will be able to define what science fiction is, analyze how various works of science fiction demonstrate the key elements of the genre, and explain how science fiction relates to the world at large. Student will read texts of varying length and complete a variety of argumentative, informative, and narrative writing assessments to demonstrate their knowledge of the genre.
