HEALTH SCIENCE Certified Nursing Assistant Training (CNA)

TVC 2.0 will offer nurse aide training for Arcadia High School and area high school students. The location will rotate between Arcadia High School and Independence's Western Campus.  One section will be located at AHS, while the other is in Independence, during trimesters one and three. 

An accelerated CNA class will meet from 9:20-11:30 am on all designated class days for the designated Trimester. On 4 CNA class days, students will report to the clinical site from 6am-2:30pm.  Additional time to review skills and study for the CNA Certification Exam will be provided during the Intervention block. 
Students will experience 98 hours of classroom instruction and 32 hours of clinical experience along
with American Heart Association First Aid and Basic Life Support Training. Students must take a state scheduled certification exam at the end of their training.

Students will need to purchase scrubs for class and clinicals and pay for the certification exam.
