MATH Foundations of Math

Foundations of Math is designed to strengthen students' understanding of essential preAlgebra concepts and skills, providing a solid foundation for success in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 while building English language skills. Emphasis is based on problem-solving, critical thinking, and building confidence in mathematical reasoning. Students will explore topics such as integer and fraction operations; equations and inequalities; ratios, proportions, and percentages; and introductory geometry concepts. Student placement is based on teacher recommendation, WIDA screener(language screener test) score, and/or WIDA ACCESS score.
