ELA Mythology

Gods, heroes, tricksters, oh my! Throughout the centuries, civilizations have used mythology and folklore to teach morals and to explain how the world came to be. In this trimester long course, students will study myths and folklore of various cultures across the world–Europe, Egypt and Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania–from the ancient times to the contemporary period. In addition, the works’ significance and influence on our own literature and culture will be explored.
