SCIENCE Biology

This is a two semester Life Science course which is required for graduation. Topics covered include the cellular level of living organisms, genetics, DNA, an introduction to body systems, study of ecology and human interactions with the environment. Students also take a close look at current science issues in biotechnology and investigate a local environmental issue and its proposed solutions. Activities include labs, lecture, discussion, and audiovisual materials. Students failing first semester require instructor consent to continue to second semester
