SOCIAL STUDIES WI History
The history of Wisconsin is very long and fascinating. At times in the past, our state has even been the center of the world and had major world events happening here. Additionally, the history of Wisconsin is an interesting local parallel and reflection of our Nation’s history. This course will take a look at various topics in Wisconsin History. Some of these may cover such periods as prehistoric Wisconsin, early native peoples, exploration and the fur trade, the shift from territory to statehood, immigration and settlement, the Civil War, industry and agriculture, Progressivism, world wars, the Depression, and various other happenings in the 20th century.
