U.S. History is a year-long course designed to introduce students to the history of the important political, economic, and social developments that have occurred in the United States from 1865 to the present. Several important periods are discussed including, but not limited to, Reconstruction, industrialization, immigration, World War I, the Roaring Twenties, World War II, and the Cold War. Attention is also given to local and regional history and to current events.
