Spanish 5- UWO Spanish 310: Spanish for Native Speakers

This class is a college level course that will be completed within a trimester. It is designed to help students whose heritage language is Spanish improve proficiency in their own language and connect with their bilingual (or multilingual) identity. Special emphasis will be given to reading and writing and to certain grammatical forms that tend to cause difficulty to native Spanish speakers. 
After completing this class, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate advanced skills in Spanish
-Write at the advanced level in Spanish using both formal and informal speech, a broad range of appropriate vocabulary and grammatical forms, and accurate spelling, diacritic marks and punctuation
-Exhibit a broader understanding of Hispanic culture(s) and the multifaceted identities of those who speak Spanish through discussion and reading(s) of literature and history.
