TECH ED Foundations of Woodworking
Do you want to be able to make things out of wood, be a Pinterest Do It Yourselfer, or just be a Do It Yourselfer! Then this class is for you! This course introduces students to concepts that include wood identification, stationary and portable woodworking equipment operations and safety, the lumber milling process, joinery used in woodworking and general shop safety operations. In the end you will have the knowledge to make just about anything out of wood! It is highly recommended that you take this class before taking the Construction/Carpentry classes offered at Whitehall High School. This course requires a $15 class fee for materials that are used to build and take home projects throughout the course. Additional cost may be required for higher end materials upon student choice.
