Course Description: Introduction to Technology is a semester long course that is divided into four sections.
Unit 1 – Robotics and Automation: Students design and build automated robots incorporating the principles of electronics, physics, and robotics to gain an enriched understanding of robotics.
Unit 2 – The Science of Technology: Students apply scientific principles and concepts of simple machines and energy to solve real world problems.
Unit 3 – The Magic of Electrons: Engaged in relevant hands-on projects, students unravel the mystery of digital circuitry.
Unit 4 – Drafting and CADD (Computer Aided Drafting/Design) Students will learn the art of drafting and design, and advance to using a 3-D inventor program on Computer Drafting.
Unit 5 – Woods: Students will learn the basics of and tolls and safety of all wood working machines- and build a small project.
*This course is recommended for several technology classes.
