Starting with the 21-22 school year, all high school Spanish classes will be multi-level. Multi-level courses provide more availability in the schedule throughout the year and provide a richer and more authentic language learning experience. Students can take ‘Spanish’ whether they are a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Spanish student. Students will focus on expanding their Spanish proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Throughout the trimester, there will be three units of study that will be based around different cultural themes, such as movies, history, news, and music. Students will be assessed through projects, tests, written responses, and speaking exams to chart growth and language learning goals. Our standards are aligned with the Wisconsin State Standards for World Language Instruction that can easily be adapted for students at their level of proficiency.
